Greater Manchester and Across the UK
Hi, my name is Laura, and I’m a children’s speech and language therapist. I specialise in delivering Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT).
The PACT approach allows me to create a space that encourages connection, celebrates differences, and supports communication by offering families timely, effective, and personalised support.
Every step of your child’s communication journey matters to me, whether it’s a new way of communicating, a heartfelt interaction, or a shared smile. Together, I’m confident we can empower your child to be truly heard in a way that feels right for them.
What is PACT?
PACT is an evidence-based, parent-mediated intervention for autistic children aged approximately 2 to 11 years. Rather than working directly with the child, the therapist works with a parent, using video feedback and guided reflection to help them better understand and notice their child’s unique communication and interaction style, as well as how they respond to their child.
By recognising and building on moments of connection in everyday life, parents learn how to support communication, engagement and social interaction in ways that feel natural, meaningful and responsive to their child’s individual strengths and needs.
Family Feedback
“The progress we saw from our little one, since starting PACT, how she grew in confidence to let us know what she wanted and needed and also to see how much more she wanted to engage with us and play alongside us after giving her the time was great!”
